Licensing

GwtPHP will use a Dual License Model for its software development libraries and will offer licenses for two distinct purposes - commercial and open source development.

Licensing model is based on Quid Pro Quo (”something for something”) principles. English speakers often use the term to mean “a favour for a favour” and the phrases “what for what”.

What does it mean for me ?

If you wish to use open source license of GwtPHP framework in your application, you must contribute all your source code to the open source community and you must give them the right to share it with everyone too. You are not allowed to protect or encode source code of your application and sell your application as commercial product. You are not allowed to remove links to www.GwtPHP.com from source code or user interface, which were shipped in distribution file of GwtPHP.

If you wish to use commercial license of GwtPHP framework, you must purchase an appropriate number of commercial licenses from QualityUnit (owner of GwtPHP framework). With commercial license you will get advantage of removing all links to www.GwtPHP.com (branding free) and option to redistribute source code of framework encoded in your commercial applications. With purchase of commercial license you will get from GwtPHP community extended support and you will help us to keep project alive and growing.
